... a matter of expectation.

« It is a great human weakness to wish to be the same as our friends. If they are rich, we wish to be rich. If they are poor, then we don't mind being equally poor. We are not ashamed of being stupid, we are only ashamed of being more stupid than our friends. It is a matter of comparison.

It is also a matter of expectation. We don't miss things that we never expected to have. We are not disappointed at being poor if we never expected to be rich.»

  1. Then this is why I miss you. I expect you to be by my side every single moment of our lives.

  2. Where did you find this quote?

On the Charles Dickens' book that you were reading?

  3. Yes. It's a quotation from the first page of "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens. Although being a quite small and simple story, it's full of moral values and gives us a big life lesson.

What I regret the most is not being beside you right now and every single day. I'm looking forward to be with you and give you a kiss of goodnight every night. There's still too much time left, though...
